A Ramadan Suhoor Appreciation Ceremony was held for the partners of Dubai Charity Association, including governmental entities, institutions, and individuals, in recognition of their sincere efforts and active contributions to the success of this year’s Ramadan campaign, “Yadoum Al-Khair”. The event is part of the Association’s ongoing efforts to enhance prospects for joint collaboration, and it took place at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Bousnad, Chairman of the Board of Dubai Charity Association, along with a distinguished group of officials from ministries, government departments, donor institutions, board members, and association executives. The event began with the national anthem, followed by a welcome and appreciation speech by Mr. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Dubai Charity Association, who said: "The success of our Ramadan campaign, Yadoum Al-Khair, is not merely a number to announce or a statistic to mention, but rather a symphony of giving and generosity. Its melodies are you, its notes are your compassionate hearts, and its harmony is your deep belief in the value of social solidarity. You have truly been the architects of joy and the makers of hope. With your generous support and unwavering faith in our mission, we were, by the grace of God, able to reach more beneficiaries and bring joy to their hearts during this blessed month." During the ceremony, a short documentary was screened, highlighting Dubai Charity’s Ramadan campaign, which comprises key projects such as: Iftar Sa’em (Meals for Fasters), Ramadan Food Packs, Orphan Happiness, Zakat Al-Fitr, and Zakat Al-Mal. These projects are implemented in the UAE and 20 countries worldwide, benefiting over 2 million people both locally and internationally. The Association also carries out numerous sustainable charitable projects that meet the humanitarian and social needs of beneficiaries, including building mosques, orphanages, Quran memorization centers, educational projects, clinics, housing for the needy, and well-digging projects, among other humanitarian and developmental initiatives. As part of the Iftar Sa’em project, Dubai Charity distributes over 1 million Iftar meals inside and outside the UAE, including 750,000 meals locally, at an average daily distribution rate of 25,000 meals to fasting workers and low-income individuals across 31 locations in Dubai. The project also includes the provision of 260,000 Iftar meals in 12 countries around the world during the holy month. Following a segment hosted by Emirati media personality Diala Ali, which focused on the heritage of Ramadan in the UAE from past to present, the ceremony concluded with Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Bousnad, Chairman of Dubai Charity Association, honoring the campaign partners in recognition of their extensive support for the Association’s noble humanitarian mission and their contributions to serving the community.
